“George Tabor” Azalea
This is a great illustration of “George Tabor” Azaleas planted in the right place, great soil and perfect sunlight.
The “George Tabor” Azalea is a Southern favorite that is commonly seen in the Carolinas. It has very large, single, light orchid-pink flowers on a large growing plant that is a bit more cold hardy than other southern varieties. This is a good azalea to use to naturalize an area or to use as a screen. Mature height 8 to 9 feet with a width of 4 to 5 feet. We removed 120 lbs of trimmings in this hair cut from three similar size groups.
