Glencairn Garden is the home to many events in Rock Hill, SC.  In the spring, Glencairn Gardens is the home of the Come See Me Festival‘s garden entertainment.  Later in the spring, hundreds of York County high school students descend upon the park, dressed in perfection, as the perfect backdrop for prom photos. The park itself boasts of its azaleas, dogwoods, wisteria, camellias, and hardwood trees being just a few of the treasures awaiting visitors as they stroll the grounds. Glencairn Garden’s beautifully landscaped lawns and walkways have made it a popular attraction among residents and visitors to Rock Hill for many years. 

Just over the Chester County, SC line, Lansford Canal State Park is home to the well-preserved remains of the canal system that made the river commercially navigable from 1820 to 1835.  Spending the day at Lansford Canal offers you the opportunity for fishing, boating and boat access, paddling, playing on playground equipment, enjoying a packed lunch at picnic shelters, bird watching, geocaching, interpretive trails exploring, hiking and enjoying the native trees and shrubbery that grow naturally along the river bank and surrounding areas.  Landsford Canal is home to the world’s largest population of Rocky Shoal Spider Lilies. Anne Springs Close Greenway is a two-thousand-acre nature preserve that offers over forty miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.  The park also has fishing spots, canoe and kayak access to Lake Haigler, and five different playgrounds. One of the most popular features at Anne Springs Close Greenway is the tubing hill located near the entrance to the preserve.  The Greenway also has an education center that offers programs and classes on a variety of topics related to nature and the environment. In addition, the Greenway offers a space to stop and refresh your body at their Gateway Canteen.  Select days offer live music events for your enjoyment!

Cherry Park is a large park located in Rock Hill, SC with many different amenities.  The park has baseball fields, picnic shelters, a disc golf course, horseshoe pits, a walking trail, playgrounds, and much more. This park is exquisitely maintained by the City of Rock Hill and is open daily from sunrise to sunset.  Most weekends, Cherry Park is filled with sports teams from across the Southeast competing for titles in travel baseball and softball leagues. Cherry Park also boasts of involvement in the Come-See-Me festival’s Gourmet Gardens.
